Welcome Jack!

Good evening family! I just wanted to share with you my newest joy. I bought him here in Lehi and he's going to be my new pal.

His name is Jack. He's about 8 weeks old. He's a miniature short haired Daschund. I love him. He's perfect. Even if mom thinks he's ugly. What does she know anyway. The boys love him.

Another Year Older and Wiser Too!

Happy Birthday Dad!
Just wanted to leave a little note saying how much we love you and appreciate all you've done for us throughout our lives (and STILL doing for me, Audrey). You have taught us everything we need to know and continue teaching us by your example.

Here's a List of Quality Things We've Learned from Dad:
1. "Almost the whole world is asleep, everyone you know, everyone you see, everyone you talk to. Only a few people are awake and they live in a state of Constant, Total Amazement!"
2. Watch your pennies and your dollars will take care of themselves.
3. Nothing good happens by waiting till the last minute.
4. Look 10 years in the future and make the choices you would've wanted yourself to make now.
5. A person's inner character can be judged by watching what they do, not listening to what they say.

Alright, these are my Top 5 favorites, I expect the four other Chavez -kids to add to this list.

Anyway, we're glad that you were born 56 years ago. We love you and respect you more than you know. Happy Birthday!

Eric and Sarah's Wedding

Congratulations to Eric and Sarah Chavez for gettin' hitched on October 2nd, 2008. It has been one month and two days! Also, fantastic job to Yareli (and maybe Brandon? I can just hear him saying "I helped!") on the photos. Here's a link to their professional website and Eric and Sarah's pictures:

http://www.bychavezphotography.com/

Sarah looked gorgeous and Eric was dashing in his white tux and very proud of his white Nike tennis shoes. I'm very impressed that he was able to keep them clean for so long! He is definitely known for the ability to keep his shoes in mint condition!

If you noticed in one of the pictures, Brandon pulled out a candy ring to hand to Eric. It was pretty hilarious, if I do say so myself. We all held our breaths waiting for Eric to punch Brandon in the guts. But he didn't. Haha.

The reception was fabulous. Excellent catering by Jose. The bacon wrapped shrimp was the bomb. Shrimp fried rice, lo mein and spinach dip are just a few of the main dishes. My mouth is watering just thinking about it. Eric was on cloud nine and we had to do a double take at the label of the bottle of sparkling grape juice when he got up to the microphone and belted out some tunes. It was just sparkling grape juice to our surprise. Josh and I were certain he was a little tipsy! ;) Butttt...I guess not.

The slide show turned out pretty good and I will have it posted on her as soon as I can. I'm glad Eric picked Cat's in the Cradle for his song. As any Chavez kid can remember, that has very special meaning. Dad used to sing and play that on the guitar growing up. Fond memories for sure.

One of the best parts of this celebration was having all five of the Leland and Yvonne Chavez family children together. It was a very, very special treat. Thank you Amy and Casey (and Zaiah, Gabe and Eza Baby) for making the drive all the way out here. Amy has put some pictures up on facebook so I will try to put them up on my next post.

My Birfday

Hello Family!

First off, this blog is looking prrrretty pathetic. I am the onlyone posting! Come on Family!

So, this time of the month is when Amy and I fight over the cool presents and whose birth date to celebrate on. Or so it was when we were little...

Just in case you want to get me something and you're going through a deep mental conversation, I'll save you the headache and tell you things I want. (Very Brandon of me, I know).

But, since I am not living at home, I contribute a ton for my gas (and have to drive up to Bentonville three times a week), pay bills now, classes, books, tithing, groceries (I know you're not feeling sorry for me, but here's the real kicker) and I only work 7.5 hours a week (minimum wage...and I can't get another job) and I'm not married to a working man. So, money is always a plus.

But, the thing that I really want is really expensive. But being born into a big family who loves me soooooo much and would love to help my future career could start an Audrey fund. I've done the math and if everyone gives me a quarter a day then that'll be about just three hundred dollars shy. By then, I should be out of this pit called broke and call it something else: digital 12.8 megapixel camera. But...if that's too fancy for your pants. I would like to get a 35mm camera and set up a dark room en mi casa. So, if you find cool things on eBay...let me know. Or, if you're STILL too cheap to start your deeeear Audrey on the road to being the best photographer, then a simple card would do.

Love you guys.

I found a turtle! He had some sort of cream all over his face...
Not a very good picture, but one of our many birds. Dad has an awesome aviary in the back with chickens and quails!Padre watering the plants. He makes it happen.
